This little tip finally let me use custom faces in Emacs without a registry hack or knowing the esoteric faces config string in emacs to set it manually.  

For anyone else using the above advice, note that &#039;def&#039; is short for &#039;default&#039; which you would see if you hit the tab key (at least in v22).]]></description>
